My opinion on the Fallout line

I guess I got it a little wrong. And, most likely, no one will support me. But I’ve been thinking for a long time about where to write my opinion so that it can be read. And to be honest, I just have nothing better to do. And so at least someone will remember me.
So:
My opinion on the Fallout line of games.
Let’s start with parts 1 and 2.
I have only the warmest and most pleasant memories about them. At first I couldn’t get used to the graphics and controls. Then I gradually got involved. If you forget about the graphics and the fact that it was (then) 2009, then the game is simply gorgeous – the gameplay, the idea, the possibilities – everything is on top. I was especially pleased with the huge number of Easter eggs. It was annoying, though, because of the time limit (in the first Fall there was a mission with a chip) – I wanted to see the world, show myself. And there is a lot to see: a lot of colorful characters, interesting quests and even humor. What was most pleasing was that the game required little on the system (because my PC is terribly weak and terribly buggy). True, I played with a character hacked for characteristics and skills (yes, yes, you can call me a reader and a noob, that’s what I like). In general, I really liked the game and I talked about it to more than a dozen of my friends.
Fallout Tactics – everything is simple here: “We remember why we love Fallout and Jagged Alliance and begin to hate Tactics” (read it on some site). What was good about the game – the Wasteland looked beautiful in the updated graphics, the opportunity to take people into your team and manage them made me happy. That’s where the positives end. There is no trace of tactics there – why invent something and calculate something when you can take your entire squad, give them a machine gun, put them in “piss assholes” mode and stupidly fall into the enemy’s room? There is no more nonlinearity – the biggest disadvantage. There is no longer that RPG for which I endured all the unsightliness of the engine. You came on a mission, shot your enemies, saved the innocent – that’s it, the mission is over, and the disgusting voice of the commander (I would kill for such voice acting) congratulates you on saving another city. Most of the perks are simply not needed – why do we need the perk of communication and trade if we stupidly kill enemies the whole game?? In general, complete nonsense.
I didn’t play much Fallout 3, but I played it a couple of times on a friend’s camp. But I have a certain opinion. Many people say that the game is terrible and not at all according to the canons of the good old Fall. I don’t agree. It’s still an RPG. Yes in first person. Yes, a lot of things don’t make sense. But still, it’s an RPG. The spirit of the Wasteland remains, there are many interesting quests and characters. Well-developed dialogue thread. I liked everything. True, the death of the hero at the end did not make me happy (although there is a rumor on the Internet that this can be avoided).
Well that’s all I wanted to say. Evaluate, scold (or praise).

in Broken steel GG lives worse than super mutants… and after BS he doesn’t die like o_O

Honestly, right now I’ll get a bunch of minuses, but I didn’t like fall 1 and 2 (I covered myself with a shield from poop) this is turn-based control… brrrr… chess and you can play in real life. I consider Fall3 one of the best games in general, especially with the mass of mods that are on the nexus. So what is my opinion about the fallout line?. Part 1 –, Part 2 -, Part 3 +… in general, I hope the trend is clear

Who cares. At first I also accepted the first and second parts with step-by-step modes shouting “What the . ». And then nothing, I got involved.

I vaguely remember some game from childhood. It all starts with me waking up near the crash site of an airship. I play some strong bald dude. Then I meet a guy and he joins me.

Then I remember that I https://treasuremilecasino.co.uk/mobile-app/ had to go to some city. I had a funny experience with this. The thing is that I didn’t know that you can go to the city using a map. As a result, 2 days of the game were occupied only by me clicking and going to the city. On foot. And finally I got there.)))

Then I remember I had to go through some kind of passage, and it was blocked by some powerful bandits. It was necessary to make booby traps so that enemies would walk through them and get hurt, and then finish them off..

Only later, after looking at the screenshots, did I find out that that game was the legendary Fallout.
After searching through Wikipedia and the Internet in general, I decided that it was Fallout Tactics. Although I may be wrong.

In any case, I can definitely say that I have only the warmest memories from that Fallout. I don’t know, maybe this is due to the fact that I may not have played the first and second parts.
Therefore, in order to find out the real greatness of this game, I’m going to play Fallout somehow

P.S. Travis36, the topic is very good, but Grammar Nazi will punish you 🙂

With this sentence you command to wash (O_O!) your opinion. )))

P.P.S. By the way, bloggers, I would really like to know someone’s opinion (in a separate topic) about the game Jagged Alience 2. Because she turned out to be better than Fallout. I even installed it and played a little, but for some reason I can’t install it anymore.

I’ll speak about tactics. I strongly disagree that there are no tactics there. Yeah, she’s not hardcore there. But try turning the difficulty up to at least medium and disabling saves during the game – then you’ll already feel that the formula “give everyone a machine gun and run to kill the asshole” no longer works. You have to sneak around and use different tactics from “flickering taras” to “bait for an idiot”.
Yes, there is no non-linearity, but this is not an RPG anymore. This is a tactical shooter with RPG elements. Very competent.

Gentlemen, if you see grammatical and spelling errors somewhere, write them in the comments. Because I looked and didn’t seem to find anything. But a user with the nickname ROLandOS has already pointed out one to me, for which I am extremely grateful to him

Oh yeah. This is a very interesting, high-quality and unusual RPG. Another thing is that you need to start from the first parts, and the graphics there have not been a fountain for a long time. However, as for me, it’s not scary. And it’s never too late to start. For example, I completed the first Half-Life and 2 expansions only last year for the first time. However, despite the backward graphics, I liked the game.

But I can’t say this for sure. Except that it was a little scary to play with monsters in the wasteland at night, and even then the combat is turn-based. I think that if you compare it with some Stalker, then no, the game is not scary

Getting involved is really the main thing. I didn’t get involved in the same Jagged Alience 2 (unlike my friend, who recommended it to me) and shouted “What the @$%*#?"took it off my computer. However, JA is a topic for another blog 😉
