And now, after almost 12 hours instead of the 9 that were planned, my first day was completed. Rising from the metro onto the already dark and rather gloomy streets, I once again today felt an annoying pain in my back. Not critical, but also unpleasant. Hundreds, even thousands of surnames, names, digital codes, names of medications were still flashing through my head. And after remembering the number of stamps affixed and the many times the hole punch was used, the right hand responded in time with the back.
There was some kind of unnatural freshness in the air, well, not at all typical for this time of year. My head was still swarming with the day’s activities and did not want to understand that it was gradually starting to rain.
Great. It’s still a decent walk home, but I’m dressed almost like summer clothes. Having run across the street, I settled down under a huge canopy of some “branded” beauty salon, intending to wait out the bad weather there and not get wet to the skin. But, apparently, the rain had a different opinion on this matter. The wind gradually rose and it became chilly, not to mention that the rain intensified and began to pour under the canopy. I had to go home. The clock confirmed my thoughts, showing a quarter to midnight.
Looking at my watch, I noticed out of the corner of my eye that I wasn’t the only one hiding from the rain. Hiding in the shadow of a lantern, the most incredible creature, the most unexpected for the autumn season, looked at me. A creature about which legends are now made. A nightmare for many and a joy for everyone else..
— Meow!
Kitty. Colored, which everyone calls "Siamese" and slightly larger than my palm.
— Meow!
Thin short legs were shaking and seemed to be no longer able to keep the owner in balance.
Who is smart enough to have an animal and then abandon it like that?? I never understood. Such people need toys, but not living beings. But these very creatures are not to blame for the fact that their “owners” have quirks that cause the animals to end up in places worse than a wet street.
— Meow! — the creature, soaked to the skin, hid from the gust of wind behind my leg.
Why did I consider myself indifferent to sentimentality, but this kitten seemed to have sunk into my soul. Taking the baby in my hands, I smoothed his tousled fur on the back of his neck. The animal was trembling. He needed to be saved.
– Let’s go, buddy. “We have to go,” covering my new friend with a hollow sweatshirt, I ran in the direction of the house.
Having crossed the threshold, I lowered my new flatmate to the floor.
– Don’t run away, otherwise you’ll eat the whole floor for me! – Hoping he understood, I turned to lock the door.
Hmm, I never thought that I would get myself a pet. Especially in such conditions, having met her.
I was brought back from my thoughts by a scratching sound on the linoleum. I turned around. The new neighbor stubbornly tried to bury his “gift” in the linoleum. Hmm… Well… if you love cats, love them… Well, in general, you understand.
“Come on, buddy, we need to wash ourselves,” I picked up the dirty guy in my arms and moved towards the bathroom.

To everyone who is interested, or maybe not so much: I’m going to the mountains for the weekend and won’t be able to post. I humbly apologize. I hope you understand.
Cool and cute :3 https://lakepalacecasino.co.uk/mobile-app/ My heart always sank when I saw an abandoned cat on the street. But my parents didn’t allow me to bring it home =_=
The story is good. I especially liked this moment:

Oh, friend, thank you for writing about these stories. I once found them on the Internet, but I forgot what they were called)
Once I read funny stories about a cat too. They are called “Notes of the Cat Shashlik”, only they are written on behalf of the cat himself – and this is the funniest thing. ))
Thank you all for your patience and good feedback. Just got home. The story will continue tomorrow. I’ll also mention the positivist)
